I’m a newer bunny owner and my bun Nugget was doing the full on zoomies last night.  But then i noticed, each time before he’d zoom all out, he’d thump? then zoom.  Was he afraid? or just having  a fun run.  We had just expanded his play area about 4 feet in one direction and 2 in width.  Seemed to me like he was just having fun, but i’d never heard the solid thump before he zoomed before.  Think he was just enjoying the new space?

Thumping during binkies or zooming is good. He’s just enjoying himself, no worries.

Oh good, thank you, still learning all this bunny language LOL.  He was REALLY enjoying himself,  we’ve got his pen where we can stretch it out to almost 10 feet long and 5 wide for running, then collapse it back down to 5x 5 for daily regular time.  He is a very engergetic little guy, I was just worried he was freaking out as I didn’t see too much binkying, just thumping and LOTS of speedy zooming.

My rabbit Kilala will often thump when she is taking off to do binkies and zoomies. Your bunny is having a good time.

My rabbit does this too – I don’t really know why though…I think it’s just a rabbit thing :~)
