Just dropping in to intro myself and our new baby Nugget.   After years of longing for a bunny, I finally did my research and thanks to a lot of helpful info on Binky Bunny (thank you all!) we have our new bunny baby Nugget!  He is surprisingly friendly.  I have no idea how old, we are guessing 3 months?.  He seems to have not shed into an adult coat?  I did do a bad thing and bought him from a pet store, the rescues near me didn’t have any availble bunnys, and i went into the store to buy dog food and treats, and there were three poor bunnys in a reptile type cage, with no hay, random bowl of pellets and half a bottle of water.  I couldn’t stand it when he came up to the glass and scratched to get out, we took him home that day.  He’s been a joy already, we’ve had him about three weeks.  He’s not scared of anything, greets us at the exercise fence, loves to have his head rubbed, eats awesome, uses his litter boxes.  I so lucked out.  I was told he was a mini rex, but my guess is he’s good old mutt.  I can’t tell if he’s got a baby coat or if he’s just semi-fluffy.

We have a pet store near the church where we attend, and sometimes after church my 12 year old and I will stop there just so we can hold the bunnies, or play with the puppies. It sounds like your bunny needed you I don’t think most pet stores know what the bunny breeds are. I know last time i went they kept telling me a netherland Dutch was a netherland dwarf. I know the difference, and they told me this one rabbit was a Siamese! i had never heard of a Siamese rabbit, but it looked exactly like a Himalayan to me. (ok just googled and found a site that said the satin rabbits have a siamese variety, but it didn’t look like them)
