My 3 month old bunny Indy (Indiana) is obsessed withe these munchy stick snacks. My concern is that one of this snacks main ingredients is corn. I have read that corn is very bad for our furry friends, so my question is, is this treat harmful? If she wasn’t so obsessed with them and overjoyed the minute I grab the bag I would just find another treat. Please help! The brand is All Living Things.

I would try to find another treat she likes just as well. My buns really love the Oxbow cookie-type treats. Have you tried fruit like dried papaya or banana?

Oh Boy!! Oxbow Barley treats!! Gus will run from ANYWHERE for those. Yep. Get rid of the corn treats. And LPT is right. Dried fruit will be a big hit. Just be careful. Your baby is still awfully young for too many treats, I think. It’s been awhile, but I’d go easy.

I agree that you should get rid of those corn based treats. At only 3 months of age, I’m not sure that your rabbit should be getting treats yet, or if she does get them, it should be only small quantities. Oxbow Barley Biscuits or Veggie Treats are good crunchy treats. Oxbow also makes dried fruit treats. Other good crunchy treats are the American Pet Diner SMAKS cookies. They come in apple, berry and pumpkin flavors. Both Oxbow and APD treats are sold in the Binky Bunny Store, so you can read about them here. Oxbow treats are sold in PetSmart stores as well as in online sites such as http://www.drsfostersmith.com.
