Hey guys! Long time no post. If you don’t remember me, I’m the owner of Baby and Houdini. I recently rearranged their home, and was wondering if you guys could rate/comment/ect.

Here’s their pen area. They have constant access to this, because they’ve yet to discover that they could probably jump over. They have a rainbow bridge thing (hardly used, but Baby grooms it sometimes), a cardboard box that they like to flip over (was a hidey hole), their food and water, and assorted toys.

A better picture of them, and how high their water bottle is. If I put it a rung lower, they have to really twist their necks to get it. I thought stretching was better for them? Also, from just looking at them, do they look healthy and stuff? Baby’s fur seems to have varying amounts of brown in it, depending on how heavily she’s shedding. And should I trim Houdini’s mane? It gets in his face a lot, but it doesn’t seem to really bother him or get dirty. I had heard of people trimming it, so I thought I’d ask your opinions.

Here’s their ‘home base’ if you will. It has their litter box (which they like to throw around), a basket (it used to be a hut, but they nibbled a little too much on the roof and I deemed it unsafe to jump on), and a pillow (they lay on it every once in awhile, and on really cold nights I use it to safely give them a heating pad). The door to the pen is never closed, unless we’re confining them so we can clean the pen.

So yeah, what do you guys think?

I’m jealous that they are comfortable on your nice tile floor. Sammy won’t walk on our tiles.
It looks lovely. I would love it if I were a bunny. Do they have food dishes for fresh greens?

Their greens I don’t normally put on dishes. I used to, but then I realized that if I put them in clean egg cartons and ‘closed’ them (put the lid down but didn’t fasten it) it made a cheap way to entertain them for 10 minutes. Lol

I think it looks great! We love to use x-pens with our buns, super easy to clean up and move around when needed. Since you seemed concerned about the water bottle, have you used crocks before? My rabbits are too lazy to use bottles, they lick it once and wonder why the water won’t keep coming .

It is funny how our fur babies have a mind of their own and will tell us what they think of our attempts to make a nice home for them, like the hidey huts and litter boxes. Maybe you should turn their hiding box into a dig box.
