Okay, so Billy came into my life about 7 months ago after being found in my yard. Anyway he has been perfect, no issues etc since then.

Late last night (after midnight), I went to offer him his bed time treat but didn’t touch it. I gave him simethicone. Then gave him some water via syringe and a tummy massage. Over night he pooped. Normal size, not many (20-30 of so I would say). His stomach was very loud. He seems slightly uncomfortable, he hops around (I’m making him run around). Still not taking food (except for a slight nibble from hay that I kept in his face). I’ve given him more simethicone, water via syringe, and I’ve given him some critical care. He hasn’t pooped in a few hours. I’m stuck with what to do. Chester gets tummy issues once of twice a year and always response well to what I do. Billy has never had issues so I don’t know what works for him.

Any tips? What else is there to do?

I know how stressful it can be. My Lulu is recovering from her first bought of stasis. I took her to the vet after she didn’t eat or poop for several hours. I think if I were you, I would try to get him in to see the vet, just to be on the safe side, especially if he isn’t starting to eat or drink on his own. Good luck!!

My rabbit had similar problems too. I brought him to the vet’s and she gave some medication, also some Critical Care to force feed. After a while, he started eating, bit by bit but he did not drink water. So I started force feeding him water…
My suggestion is to bring him to the vet and give him the medication, and also monitor the amount of water Billy drinks.
            Hope Billy gets well soon!
