Tobey was diagnosed with arthritis so vet says he MUST eat oxbow joint support daily but he won’t eat them. Vet said to soak in carrot juice but his still has no interest. Any suggestions? On the plus side sebaceous adenitis treatment has been suuccessful!
        Thanks

Maybe try crumbling it up and putting it with some pellets and making a mash with a bit of warm water.

My buns love the joint support. They are like cookie monsters for them.

What if you crushed them up and put in a bit of applesauce or on some banana to trick him?

Have you tried just breaking them up and mixing in with his regular pellets? If he doesn’t like the smell of them, the pellet smells may mask the supplement smell and get eaten along with the pellets.

I’m going to try breaking them up in the pellets. If that doesn’t work I’ll make some banana mash. Tobey was on multiple meds for over a yr for s.a. he got injections & a special med I got formulated by a company in az. Vet says he’s showing no current signs of sa but she feels the Treament process was rough on him. He lost his bonded mate about 3 wks ago. We found him dead in their pen one morning. I too haven’t posted in over a year. Thanks for all the binky support.

I’m sorry to hear about the loss SLS. *Binky free little one*.
Did Tobey become depressed at all?

Banana mash sounds like way to go. If he still refuses, you might have to look at giving him something different. I believe one member here found a liquid glucosamine supplement to give her bunny.

I tried the Oxbow Joint Support with Zeus in the past and he wouldn’t give it more than a sniff. Never even tried a tiny nibble. I use this:

                      https://www.smartpakequine.com/ps/smartflex-iv-ultimate-pellets-8293

I give him 3-5 pellets (they’re big pellets) twice a day. I’ve definitely noticed a difference, and he eats them without any issues. They’re alfalfa flavored.

I’ve also heard people have success with a similar joint supplement called Myristol:
