For a few weeks now Parsley has been chewing on his litterbox like crazy. There’s a significant chunk of plastic gone from it now. That can’t be good for him to be swallowing….. I’m freaking out a little bit.

He gets fed plenty, as well as constant hay, and he has toys. I can’t just get rid of the litterbox because we’re still working on training I don’t know what to do!

Also, on the bright side he has not shown any signs of constipation or lack of appetite or anything… but I still don’t like knowing he has swallowed bits of plastic. And how bad is that on his teeth?? Ahhhh

Hey there, all 4 of my buns chew on their litter boxes! This is perfectly okay, as long as your not seeing signs of constipation or stomach upset. For my bun Star, i gave her a baby toy (the plastic rings) and she stopped. Sadly, there isn’t really a way stop this. Hope this helps!

Does he have willow chews, dried apple twigs, wood chew toys? Just a thought.
