We have 2 bunnies 1neutered male lion head and 1spayed female rex. I really don’t want to go into details as to why but we need to find them a new forever home. We are seriously heartbroken and wouldn’t even consider this if we didn’t have to. Both are very well taken care of and very sweet. They have been together since we rescued them at 6 weeks old and need to keep them together.

I do not want to just drop them off at a rescue or list them on craiglist. I would like to find them a good home through a bunny forum or bunny reuse or somewhere for bunny lovers. So if you have any suggestions please.

I am heartbroken for you PhotoGirl… Your bunnies are gorgeous, and I know you only want the best for them…
Unfortunately, BB cannot be used to rehome bunnies. All I can suggest is that you go with your gut in any potential adopters.
I am so so sorry. ((((Hugs)))

Hi Guys…. Photogirl has not asked us to rehome the buns, she has asked for suggestions on how to go about it safely. All of us at one time or another have had contact with rescues, societies or groups. Let’s find out where she is on this big blue ball we call home and point her towards someone who can be trusted to help.
I had to rehome babies via normal routes and the bunny rescue community helped immensely with how to word adverts, what to look for, when to say Go away and don’t let the door hit you in the art on the way out.

If it makes you feel any better, there are pet stores around our town that will take in a surrendered rabbit. Maybe you can try asking around there, and also ask if they have any recommendations? Hopefully they’ll be able to point you in the right direction. I’m sorry that you couldn’t take care of them for their lifetime.

Sorry If I wasn’t suppose to post this on BB, I am just really in need of help. We loved these two to bits and I can not just toss them to a shelter and hope for the best. We live in Arnold Missouri near St. Louis.

Again sorry, I’m sure we will figure this out.

                Thank you!

I’m very sorry to hear you have top re-home your beautiful babies. I suggest contacting the Missouri-St-Louis Chapter of the House Rabbit Society. I’m sure they can help or at least point you in the right direction.

Seems you’ve posted this twice – I am going to lock this thread – the other on is in the Q&A section.
