For the past couple of day I haven’t noticed my bunny drinking any water

Im usually refilling the water bottle at least once a day and hearing him drink all the time.

I placed a bowl of water in his cage in addition to the bottle just incase he didn’t like his bottle anymore but i still don’t see any water drinking…

He is still eating and pooping and I even see pee in his litter box but I swear he is not drinking water. He also still seems happy, he isn’t slouched, he lays on his belly with his ears back and relaxed…

        What should Ido??

Well first check the bottle to see if there is any water actually coming out of the bottle…sometime that is an issue.

no he’s four months old so i didn’t know he could have a lot of greens. What and how much do you recommend?

You could start to introduce greens slowly, one at a time. Many people start with a little bit of romaine or green leaf lettuce (no iceberg). Check out the diet info under Bunny Info through the menu button at the top of the page.

I didn’t know how old your bunny was so I asked about the wet greens because bunnies who eat alot of wet greens often seem to drink less water because they’re getting water from the wet greens. I was wondering if that’s what might be going on with your bunny.

Have you rinsed out his bottle really good? Does your water taste any different than normal?

When Meki was going through a bit of stasis last summer, she stopped drinking water too. I did the same thing where I put a bowl in along with her water bottle and nothing. What worked was, in hindsight probably not the best idea, I got a fresh pineapple and put some of the juice from that mixed in with the water in the bowl. I think I’ve read or heard somewhere that pineapple was good for a bunny’s tummy.

Anyway, so she went NUTS for the pineapple water. Had no problem whatsoever lapping that up like there was no tomorrow after not drinking for nearly 14 hours. Unfortunately, the new introduction of pineapple juice gave her the most severe case of diarrhea I’d ever seen in a rabbit. Dumped the pineapple-water, rinsed it out, put plain water back in the bowl, and pushed hay on her. Within the hour her poo was firming up and she was still interested in the bowl even though it didn’t have some of that magic bowel juice in it anymore.

Long story short, try making the water enticing. Perhaps with unsweetened apple juice or something? If all else fails, you could try syringe feeding your bun water. Meki hated the syringe until she discovered water in it and lapped at it a little once she realized it was plain water and not ~*cherry flavored*~ antibiotics like I had previously been giving her through the syringe.
