I always enjoy dreaming because it’s like watching a mini movie while you sleep. Most times I have some ridiculous dreams, and seemingly unrelated, except for one little detail! My bunny, Remmy, often makes an appearance in these dreams, but when I get close to him or try and pick him up, he takes shape into another animal!  Sometimes he’ll morph in to a monkey, or a squirrel, and even another wild rabbit.. But when I look at him from a distance, he looks and acts just like his typical self.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar dream? With either their bunny or any other pets? I don’t know if I can figure out the underlying meaning of these dreams, but these events occur so often and I’m beginning to feel like it is something important…

        Any thoughts?

I had a dream where Lily was a platypus. At the end of it, she turned back into a rabbit.

I have dreams like that about my bunnies. By the end of the dream they are something totally different. Although to be fair, I dream about my husband a lot and often he has a different physical body or turns into someone else entirely!

I once dreamed that Moshu is pregnant and I am scared as $*&! about the delivery. And on top of it, an earthquake strikes and I am finding her carrier to put her in to run out of the building. The most recent one I saw (I dont even remember whether it was last night or before that) , I dreamed my dad getting one more bunny for Moshu. I got insane since I feel I am thoroughly occupied with one bunny.

But in all these dreams, I visualized her as she is.

I had an odd one where I was standing on the roof with a friend and Lionel, and Lionel started blowing away (?). We had to go pick him up from the zoo, because as my friend had calmly told me (I guess I was panicking) “that is where all the bunnies land when they fly away.” I couldn’t find him, but then I guess I eventually did? Lol. I dream about my bunnies a lot, mostly they are rather ordinary though.

I dream about my buns all the time. Probably because they are on my mind pretty much all the time that I`m awake.

Once in a while, I dream of my Bridge Bunnies. I believe when you dream of pets (or people) who are passed away, it`s them visiting you. When you sleeping you are more open to receiving communication from them.

I’m glad to hear so many people dream about their bunnies! I agree though, maybe it is because they’re always on our minds!

Because I’m away from Meki most of the time, most of my dreams of her unfortunately involve some kind of freak accident. I’m an overly worried bunny mama when I’m not around my baby.

Although, a few months ago I had quite the dream about my former bunny Nefi. I was standing outside at a friend’s farm and we were just kind of hanging around and talking. Suddenly I see a zip of… disturbance in the air and light around me, like it distorted the air like heat from a grill can, and it shined like a prism but the rainbow colors were only just barely visible. It was surrounding me, going in circles at around chest – head height and streaking that prism light maybe two feet behind it like a ribbon. Suddenly I got this overwhelming feeling that it was Nefi, and I remember at that point the light started zig zagging as if it was doing binkies in the air. A few laps around me, and then it went up into the air and I woke up.

I don’t know what to think. I had this dream last summer (2014) and Nefi passed away in the summer of 2010. The rational part of me says dreams are just dreams and I was missing her, but I’d never had a dream that gave me such a strong feeling as that feeling of recognizing it as my Nefertari. She is still frequently on my mind, but the night before I hadn’t been thinking abou her or looking at her pictures at all. Just out of the blue I had this dream. Though it’s been four years, I like to think that it really was my baby girl saying goodbye… And now I’m crying ;(

I should add, Nefi passed away due to a broken back. So if that truly was her, and she was doing binkies around me before leaving…. it’s just good to know she’s not in pain anymore, you know?

I think that was your bunny visiting you! I still get “visits” from my kitties that passed away many years ago. Sometimes, I’m having a lucid dream and I’m acknowledging the fact that they are passed on and are visiting me.

I love the name Nefertari. I had a kitty name Nefera. Big Ancient Egypt fan here.

I had a dream last night about LLH’s Pumpkin! She was laying in our house, chilled on the floor. Our two big fluffy cats were laying with her. On the floor in front of them were 4 little fluffballs…a white, a black, a light gray, and a light brown. I told my husband look! Luca cat had kittens! He said no, those are baby bunnies! Eeeeee! It was definitely Pumpkin though, a orange fluffball.

I once had a dream that there were like 20 stray bunnies in my backyard/under our barn. I was able to catch them all and decided to keep them all so Moxie would have lots of bunny friends. Am I trying to tell myself something? LOL!

Yes Moxie, 21 bunnies sounds like a good number!

OMG LPT!!! After my mum died I had many conversations with her in my dreams – it wasn’t until I literally woke up and thought, did I realise it was ‘only’ a dream! I am a bit teary writing this, but I HOPE we really were communicating and not just my brain desperately trying to tell her everything I should have when she was alive??? I will try and take comfort in your post – thank you.

I have never dreamt about Henry…. I think I need a break from him when I sleep, he he he….. naughty bunny!

PS – I remember both your dreams Diamond and LEL! And if you guys remember, I hadn’t dreamt about Henry then either…..

Edit to ADD – I hate dreaming…..  if it’s a nice dream, when I wake up it’s not real . Or I have ‘stupid’ dreams. My best nights sleep is when I don’t dream at all.

Bugga! Now I am crying tooo….. my throat has swelled up and I am struggling to swallow. Binky’s for Nefi!

Ugghhh seriously, you’re not the only one. I grabbed my dream journal so I could write it down exactly how I remembered it when I woke up so now everytime I read this thread my throat closes and I get all teary eyed too. Bunnies are our babies, through and through.

I had a dream about Meketaten last night. That Burnt Little Muffin would zoom away from my grasp and stop just outside of my reach the whole dream. Sounds like her enough. When she was 8 weeks old and barely in my house for two days she would push my hand out of the way roughly with her face to go where she wanted to go whether I liked it or not. So running and stopping just out of my reach is just the right amount of sass to echo Meki.
