So, as of right now, Harley is a poop and pee machine. Yay! Poops aren’t quite normal, bit they’re solid and plentiful. But he still seems weak and isn’t really independent yet. At this point, would it be better for him to go back home with Bruno and maybe she can encourage him to eat and move? Or should I keep him on his little bed and let him relax til he regains more strength? We see the vet again Monday.

I would put them back together if that is what they’re used to. Still monitor them… But they can become depressed when not with their mate.

I agree with Bekay. You don’t want the stress of separation right now.

Everything I’ve read says when bunnies are bonded that a bunny will heal faster if its with its bonded buddy.

I’m thinking that’s true, JR. I came home yesterday to find Harley had scrambled off the couch and was sitting by he and Bruno’s cage. So we got him all settled back in with her. He picked a corner, so we moved the water bottle and food dish and hay pile right next to him. Over the evening, he started to move around some and even went over to the litter box. We had him out feeding him and he broke loose and got on the floor and ran right behind the couch! Lol He is definitely getting some spunk back. He’s grooming a bit better now too. We have a vet check this morning, so hope he’s doing well!

Harleys check up went well! The vet said he improved so much because of John and I working so hard to get him better. He said we did good. He thinks maybe we should trim Bruno’s fur, since it sounds like this may have been caused by her crazy fur. We still need to syringe feed him for a while until he’s eating all on his own. But things are looking up! Yay!
