So today when I give Harley food and water via syringe, I can get a couple squirts in then he starts slowly opening and closing his mouth. Kind of like chewing, but not exactly. Anyone had a bun do this?

Yohio usually started to, like, chew after a little while when I syringe-fed him. They should move their tongue and swallow on their own accord.

As long as you get it into him and he swallows, you should be fine. I forgot to mention I did tummy rubs after every feeding when I wrote before, in the other thread.

I hope he’ll soon be well. It’s very stressful to have a sick bunny.

Yup that’s pretty much dealing with unwanted food paste sounds good-and sounds like you are doing a good job if he’s not trying to jump away and jerking his head away
