My bun is breathing very heavy/fast and he is twitching/shaking? Yesterday my other dwarf had some GI issues (wasn’t pooping) and I gave her some Infant Gas Meds and Critical Care and she now she is doing fine. So today I find this guy breathing really heavy and he hasn’t eaten any of his hay (he usually mows down right when I give it to him). He will still take treats and is drinking water, he also has pooped but not much. I am giving him the same treatment but my other bunny wasn’t breathing like this.  Any ideas? I called my vet and she said that it sounds like I am headed in the right direction with treatment but just wanted to see what others thought.

What are the temperatures like where you are HB. If it’s hot you could be seeing signs of heat stroke.

It is cold outside, I am in the midwest but my rabbits are inside. I took him to the vet today and she said pneumonia. He is now on antibiotics and pain meds. He has gotten SQ fluids and I am still hand feeding him.

Oh no. Glad he’s being kept hydrated. I wish him a speedy recovery.

So glad you could get him in for treatment. I asked the temps as I ma not always sure where everyone is, we are experiencing bushfires and temps above 100F/37C at the moment.
Vibes to you and both your bunny babies.
