        Hey Binksters!

        Long time no type!

        I’ve got a question regarding a quilt I got for Theodore’s habitat. Here’s a photo:

I got it from a cheap furniture / home supply store down the street. It’s 100% cotton, and I know that’s important versus most synthetic fabrics, but I was thinking as soon as I installed it here that the dye might be problematic? I’m not sure. Anyone have any experience with this?

          HI FUNNY-LOOKING-RABBIT!!! *waves*

          I don’t see how that could be a problem…

Did you wash it before putting it down? I’m thinking the dye smell could be strong or that the dye could run if it gets wet and has never been washed. Is Theodore a chewer?

            I like it!

              Hey-lo!!!

I did not wash it before putting it down. It doesn’t smell like dye, though, really — and the window is open in the room?

Theodore is a light to moderate chewer, I’d say. His last towels that this quilt is replacing had a few holes in them. He’s not a huge chewer, though, at least not on fabrics – he’s more interested in his chew toys, luckily.

The only other thing I would wonder about is the batting inside the quilt. But, like with anything, if he really starts to eat the quilt, you know what to do!

Yeah, that’s the thing I was more concerned with as well. I’ll definitely keep an eye on it!

Hopefully he won’t chew it because it does look cozy!
