i know yogurt isn’t good for buns but i eat yogurt and then give the empties to the dog to lick out and the bun has started to take notice… when the dog is done with the containers she licks them and throws them around.. i’m sure the dog mostly cleans them out but they might still have trace amounts of yogurt and they’re certainly still “fragrant” .. are they safe?

I don’t see a problem with that. I can’t imagine the dog leaves much in there. Let her have fun!!

Buns can’t digest dairy. If they accidentally eat a little bit I’m sure it won’t do them any or much harm. I wouldn’t advice giving them to your bunny though even if it’s just a little bit.

As long as there is no yogurt in it, and she’s not eating the container, I can’t think of any major problems. My rabbit loves to toss and play with containers, cups, and bowls. Really anything she can grab like that and flip. Maybe try rinsing it out and seeing if she still wants to play with it? If not you could always put a little pineapple juice or a tiny bit of baby food for her to lick off. A little bit of dairy shouldn’t hurt, but it’s still not good for them.

I’d give them a rinse first-maybe they are fun to play with but I’d make sure they are clean.

Also don’t let your dog lick the yogurt unless it’s natural yogurt/full fat yogurt- If it’s diet and it has artificial sweeteners in it those are very bad for your dog. Go with a full fat/natural yogurt to share with your dog.

haha.. thanks for the answers .. she doesn’t really care for them if they’re totally clean

i don’t know if it’s the yogurt or the dog slobber she’s after

everything my dog likes she’s all over.. i caught her racing around the house with a chunk of pig ear the other day

it makes for fun times keeping peace in the house
