I have 2 boxes in right now and would like to switch to 1.  I have one decent sized box and one very small one that I started out with.

I’d like to just use the larger one.  Is this ok?  Since they use them both, I hesitate to remove one.  I’m always worried that if one has to potty while the other one is in there they might not use the box.

I use two xl litterboxes for my two Holland lops (they pee and poop alot) and two medium cat litterboxes for my 3 lb single bun. I think the rule of thumb is one more litterbox than than the number of bunnies. If the litterbox is huge, you clean it out frequently (may have to do it more than once per day), and your bunnies don’t mind “going” together, then you may be ok.

I had this same type of situation recently. I have 2 litterboxes myself. You could try using only the one and see what happens. If it doesn’t go well then add back another one. I think JR has some good advice as well. With only one litterbox you will have to clean it more frequently.
            Best of luck!

Ya, I usually only have to clean my large one every 3rd day, the small one every other.
