So, I’ve kept my flemmie out of the living room because he keeps chewing through my wires. i’ve tried a couple different types of covering, but he snips right thru it in a second. i need something stronger!

i’ve been thinking about either plastic tubing like this: http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/abbott-rubber-eva-tubing-1-4-in-id-x-25-ft

or corrugated tubing like this:  http://www.amazon.com/Beckett-2034BC-4-Inch-20-Feet-Fitting/dp/B00827HL3W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421368378&sr=8-1&keywords=corrugated+tubing

ANY opinion is GREATLY appreciated!!! i MISS Buddy being with me so much! and he misses being in the living room! he always wants to come in and i can’t let him until i figure this out.   i am DETERMINED to figure it out and bunny proof THIS WEEKEND!!!

        thanks so much!!!

I think most people use the ridged kind (2nd pic). Places like Lowes and Home Depot carry it too. If your bunny chews through that, there’s, always pvc pipe!

I use critter cord which is specially designed to keep small animals from chewing wires.
It has a bad taste on it to discourage them. It seems to work pretty well but it has a strong smell so it makes your house smell kinda weird.

              We use these zipper things.

They are reasonably easy and extremely tough.  There are a few different brands, not just the one I linked.  Some are better than others, but I can’t remember which one we liked the best, so check reviews.

Ive had many house rabbits, the only thing I’ve ever found to keep them from chewing wires was to have them too high, or taped flush to something. Every wire wrap and nasty tasting deterrent (or combination of both) failed me.

                wascally wabbits.

white pvc plastic pipe is hard for them to get through, but because it “sticks out” they will try.

Anything a bun perceives as potentially blocking their run ways and escape routes will be summarily dealt with, it’s instinct and simply can’t be overcome.

I use that tubing in the Tractor Supply add, though I’ve seen it sold in a hardware store by the foot and in different sizes. I’m intrigued by Eepster’s posting. I may have to think about that

I used the corrugated kind. Lowes, really cheap! In packages. They can still chew it but I’ll usually hear them and stop them. Getting a fish tank so gotta do more, might try that white kind mentioned if I can find it. Had to hook my phone cords right to the wall.
