Loki’s new thing is to move his water bowl with his teeth, so he can lay under the water bottle, and let it drip all over him. it’s always pretty warm in my room, but nothing I think would make him hot. is him getting a little wet a bad thing? he seems to love it. and if it’s not that, he’ll lay down and put his paws in his water bowl, and drink at the same time.

As long as he isn’t consistently soaking wet, then it probably won’t cause any problems. A little water on the fur will likely be licked off. My Leopold has a strange habit with grooming. He will actually take a couple of licks on the water bottle and then he will spread the water around on his fur with his mouth. It’s really weird, but his fur probably isn’t significantly more wet than if he was grooming himself simply by licking.

LBJ — that’s Leopold’s version of a, sponge bath! Smart bunny!

Bunnies have a different temperature comfort range from people. There is enough overlap that we can generally cohabitate happily, but at a certain point where humans find it mildly warm bunnies are hot (on the other end humans are cold but bunny is perfectly happy.)

Give him something cool to snuggle against or on, like a cool tile or a frozen water bottle.

What kind of water bowl do you have? I suggest getting a ceramic crock, big and heavy enough that he can’t move. My buns can’t move theirs, I’m sure if they could, they would, because they love to make a mess.

it’s a ceramic bowl, it’s not too big, because im afraid he’ll get his whole body in it, he can’t lift it up very much, just enough to pick it up and drop it and make a little splash.
