she is a 5 month old Holland lop she’s very explorative, funny, and doesn’t’ even mind being held. she has recently started rubbing her chin on things to mark them and has tried to hump my friend’s bunny (which treasure really isn’t too happy about) so she is obviously hitting her hormonal stage but I’ve always thought 5 months is too young to have her fixed? also, about how much would you say fixing a bunny costs?

About 6 months old. Cost is contingent about location and vary quite a bit – best to call around and find out from your local rabbit savvy vets…

Definitely time to find your rabbit vet! About six months is when you’d like to do it, so now is the time to call around and price things out-and question the vets and find one that’s experienced and a good fit for you.

My spay was around $400 CAD -I’m in Alberta Canada. I have a family member in Manitoba who paid less than $100 so prices vary widely depending on where you are, the economy, availability of vets -all kinds of things-so call around Keep in mind cheapest may not be the best, so talk to the vets and see who you like.

And if anyone tells you to fast her overnight run away as fast as you can

All of mine were done early with no problems, so I would say you could have her spayed any time now but you should do whatever your rabbit savvy vet is comfortable with.

Prices do depend on where you are located but make sure to get her spayed by a vet who is experienced.
Like MB said dont fast her. Rabbits dont have a vomiting reflex and thats the main reason why vets tell you to fast your pet if they are a dog or cat.
6 months or now would be a perfect time to spay her because her hormones are acting up and you dont want her to develop and bad habits.

                  Good luck!!
