There’s a couple good articles like http://www.rabbit.org/health/urolith.html and http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/sludge.shtml and also http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-5/bladder-disease.html along with http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/urinary.html These are all reputable websites with correct rabbit care so I’d have a good look into these articles. I thought Bun Bun had bladder sludge but it was just me over-worrying and these articles really helped. If your rabbit is straining to pee and looks like he’s in pain, that’s a definite sign to go to the vets. If you do a Google search, you could probably find more articles but not sure if they’d be a good resource

Thanks! They were very helpful, but I still don’t know. I put some pics up (sorry if the pics disturb anyone) Anyway, these are some urine puddles that have dried some were on his bedding and some not (also his cage needs to be cleaned he got hay everywhere lol sorry) I ran my fingers through them and it felt a little sticky-ish I think? I couldn’t tell if there was things like crystals etc. in it, but I’m very concerned that the color is a bit odd aswell? His diet is unlimited orchard grass hay, oxbow timothy pellets 1/4 cup a night (he is around 5 pounds) dandelion greens, and some lettuce, water, and his litter is woodstove pellets. It might be something other than bladder sludge? I just don’t know! Or maybe nothing is wrong? I do worry a lot about him. Thanks! (Sorry that was long) Please help! And Thanks again!

Bunny urine tends to vary in colour from pale to quite a deep rusty brown. Sludge is generally just that, thick sludgy urine as opposed to the normal urine with calcium traces.

That doesn’t look like bladder sludge to me…it’s very thick and pasty. However, with bladder sludge it’s not just about what you see but how your rabbit is acting. You will usually see them straining and there is most likely a change in litter habits.

I’ve only experienced sludge in older rabbits, don’t see it so much in younger ones.

Well his litter habits havn’t ever really been the best, he did pee 4-5 times ouside hi box in maybe a week which is a little much for him. And he never really pees when im in the room so i cant really tell weather or not he strains.

Agree, sludge would still look sludgy when dried. This just looks like dark pee.

It also looks like normal pee to me.

Is Larry neutered? I wondered that since you said his litter habits have never been the best. Although some rabbits don’t have great litter box habits even if they are spayed or neutered, it’s usually the case that they will have better habits after their surgery.
