I have been pretty absent from here lately due to moving house and a lot of other stuff going on. At the old house, Harvey helpfully started pulling up the carpet.

The carpet is brand new. As in it still stinks of glue and the guy installing it was there as we were starting to move in. Harvey has now been banished to the bathroom and a small area of the lounge in his X pen with a blanket under, but he can’t stay there forever. He’s miserable if he doesn’t have space to run.

I have noticed that he only chews the edges or parts that are already frayed (like most of the old house) so I was thinking if I can just cover the edges of the carpet/bottom of the wall then he won’t have anything to pick at. Does anyone know of anything that would do that? Help me guys.

Try spritzing round the favourite chew spots with a little diluted white vinegar.
