I’m moving to L.A. (California) with my three buns. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for where to buy supplies (Hay Bales , pellet litter, pet stores), who’s good for boarding, and what vets you like?

There are lots of feed stores in L.A. I know of the Malibu Feed Bin, Stephens Hay and Grain, and a few others. It depends where in L.A you live. You can buy bales of timothy hay that’ll last 6 months-a year for only $15-$30. You can also buy straw/shavings, bedding, food, and other supplies in bulk for cheap. The wood pellets, straw, and hay is meant for horses but it’s fine for rabbits.
Honestly, I just ask my neighbor(trusted friend) to watch them. He knows their diet, watches them run around, and plays with them. He has the phone number of my vet in case anything goes wrong. He’s experienced with rabbits. I don’t really like boarding my rabbits somewhere. They are much more comftortable in their own house. But, here’s a link to a rabbit rescue that boards: http://www.rabbitrescue.com/boarding.html

I don’t really know of any private pet stores here, but there are lots of petco’s and petsmart’s everywhere that you can just look up on the internet. I sometimes will go to the petstore to buy toys, but I buy all the supplies (hay, bedding, food, etc.) from the feed bin. It’s much cheaper and more convenient.
Here’s a list of vets. I don’t know how up to date it is (and I don’t use any of these vets) , but I got it off a rabbit rescue in the area.

I know a couple of BBer’s who live on that side of America (I’m getting good with my geography – not really, lol!), I got a map up (thank goodness for google! ha ha ha!). I’ve heard nothing but good things with their bunnies – so hopefully you’ll have the same experience. Wishing you all the best. Cheers!
