–feel free to just answer the summary–

So Luna is a very well behaved 7-month old holland lop, we have had her since she was seven weeks.  She is very good about pooping in her cage, and always pees in her cage.  Every once in a while she will be out of her cage, and while wandering around, will have her tail lifted up more than usual, and is just dropping little poops everywhere.  It’s like practically a trail following her wherever she goes.  With some research, we found that the lifted tail indicated excitement, so while that is comforting, there is something discomforting about the fact that the poops are just coming from everywhere.  Also, she has occasionally been peeing in places she normally does not pee.  For example, she peed on the couch which has never happened, she never even poops on there, and she peed on both of us a couple times, so like what is up??

She has not been fixed, we are currently planning that, but we are wondering if that is connected to the random peeing and pooing extravaganza. Hopefully it will stop after the fixing, but maybe its a developing thing or like a behavior thing.

        thanks

        -luna’s owners

Spaying will definitely help with her recent litter habits, but the excited “one poop just falls out” will likely still happen.

It sounds like hormones to me. If there are wild bunnies about outside she might be picking up the scent from your shoes and following the trail round the house.
