Did searches on this forum but didn’t find specific responses to this. I’m curious about some bunny behavior I’ve been seeing:

        1. I put a flat cushion near where he normally lounges under a table – figure it might be comfy for him and warmer. I’ve noticed him lately kneading/digging/scratching at it. He doesn’t bite at it (which he’s done for other cushions), so I don’t think he dislikes it, but I can’t tell what the behavior means. Wondering if I should move the cushion away or if he’s liking it!

        2. I’ve read that bunnies love licking microfiber couches, and indeed he has been licking one particular section a lot. Why do they do this? Think it’s grooming behavior? It’s so funny, and assume there is no harm. I try to lintroll it from time to time so he’s not licking up his fur.

Wondering what the above means, thank you!

          Hi kbun!
1.Bunnies have an instinct to dig, so if he is not biting at it or eating it, it is fine to leave it there,
2.He is probably grooming it. A lot of bunnies do this to stuffed animals, but I guess he likes his rug? It should be fine as long as he doesn’t incest it, good idea to lint roll it often.

Thank you! Good to know this is not a sign of him disliking the cushion, and that the licking behavior is normal.

I’m not sure why they lick certain things. Whenever I wear Yoga pants, Olivia likes to “wash” them for me.
