Ok so…my two female Holland Lops May and Lily love each other one moment then hate each other the next! Like typical sisters, so therefore when I am at work they go in separate cages just so that I can make sure they don’t fight and get hurt.

However, when I am home I let them out to play while being supervised..But lately May has been going up to Lily and letting Lily bite the sides her face? Its not aggressive biting I guess because I mistook it as grooming at first but then I realized she was actually nipping May and causing it to be red. If I had a picture Id upload it to show you but picture right underneath their eyes and a little up the sides of their nose is where Lily is doing this and I cant figure out why May is letting her? Doesn’t that hurt ? I mean it looks like it hurts lol I’m super confused..has this ever happened to anyone?

It might be a sign of submission. It sounds like lily is the alpha in their relationship. Do you ever see lily mounting may? Are they both spayed?
