Has anyone else caught their rabbit digging at a door like they REALLY want in? She has stuff to dig, but no matter what she’s trying to get into my room. I don’t let her in because I have musical equipment and she would probably try to chew the wires. I tell her no, and call her over. She’ll come lick my hand then go right back to the door. What could she possibly want?

She just wants in! My bun does this too! I’ve tried putting obstacles (fencing to protect the door or a towel or a digging box) in front of the door to divert his attention but once it becomes 10pm-11pm Murray will get a crazy spurt of energy and frantically dig at closed doors. My solution to this was just leaving the doors open, he doesn’t seem to be destructive if he feels like he has free roam of every square foot of the house. I’m interested to hear other peoples solutions to this.

Closed doors apparently make bunnies think we’re hiding good stuff from them! All of mine will do this, and Moshi will even try jumping to reach the door knob when he can’t dig through the door.

My bunnies have free roam of my bedroom, and never dig at the door because they know that on the other side is a wood or tile floor where they have no grip so they stick to the safety of the carpet. It’s pretty nice :3 until they dig it up and rip it out of course.

My bunny stays in my room most of the time but at least 2 days a week I’ll let him run around the entire house and he loves having full run of the house. Afterwards though he just wants to go out again and run around. He digs at the bottom of my door inside my room wanting out. It’s quite entertaining but I usually just sit in the floor with him and pet him to distract him from it then he does and goes around the room doing binkies
