Bunny meme | Rabbit Ramblings: Funny Bunny MemesThis cords you forgot to lift up..or forgot was even there. I dunno how many times i leave the room with the intention to come back within seconds and see this!

I also let every guest of my house know NOT to leave a cord laying around or they will be sorry!

So that’s why Yohio cuts every cord he possibly can reach – he wants to protect me from the bad, bad snakes! That’s so sweet of him. Bunnies sure are loving little creatures =)

              Oh yeahhhh
I have gone through laptop cords…phone chargers..lamp cords
Not to mention the mad guests when they realize they no longer have a working phone charger they left in bunny reach! lol
I am convinced my buns do this to me when I stop petting them and playing!

Luckily my bun has only chewed ‘non electrical’ wires so far, my audio speakers and the keyboard (twice!). The plus with this too is as its not electricity going through the wire I can fix myself by baring the metal and twisting around the different colours then covering with tape. Still naughty though! I make sure to cover proper electric wires. My charger is always lying around unplugged and he never bothers with it at all…. He’s picky!

oh my gosh! my one is horrible. 2 macbook cords, 1-2 of my husbands pc charger, countless phone chargers, 2 home phone cords, 2 home phone ac adapters, today it was the string on my blinds. The blind string must have been almost on the cage and they got it. Oh, and a printer cord. I’ve wrapped light cords in some stuff I got at lowes real cheap, seems to work pretty well. It’s corrugated black plastic over in the section near phone cords.

My husband could kill me. Oh, not to mention digging at carpet and chewing the woodwork by the window when she was on the back of the couch.

I have had to replace two phone cords, a Gameboy charger and a DS charger I also now have to use my extension cord for my large headphones because the smaller cord is also now a dead “snake”. My laptop cord is still slightly in reach and I worry about it all the time. Is there maybe some yucky spray to spray on the cords so the bunnies won’t want them??

Because Unfortunately I don’t have any hardwood flooring in my house! If you find a solution let me know

If there is spray i have not found it! I have removed all visible cords from our room and I am just hoping they dont find them lol

I can let the play in the kitchen on the laminate but it’s slick and they can’t do their binkys! Buffy has gotten better about digging since I got her spayed but she’ll still try it if she can find a corner and I’m not listening but she’s much better.

I have plenty of wood stuff in the condo to chew on. I guess it’s more fun if they find it themselves. I need to paint where she chewed so husband doesn’t notice, lol!

It’s amazing how fast they can just snap a thin cord. I have more $$ in cords than I care to think about. I’d rather spend it on toys but they don’t appreciate toys much. I got them a bird toy today to chew. Seems like they are cheaper. Well, I don’t really see bunny toys much at the stores.
Walmart sells bunny chew sticks that you can mount on the cage and they look like a bird perch kind of. My bunnies love these. They don’t stay mounted tho but they still chew them up. I buy the actual ones that are made as bird perches b/c they are a lot bigger and only $1 more. They will probably have their new toy destroyed by morning.

this is off topic, but I never see them actually sleep (with eyes closed!). Do they sleep at night?

I don’t see how some people leave their buns out all the time with run of the house. Sure would be nice to be able to do that.

I have seen my buns sleep, they usually sleep in flops or resting their head on their little chin fat lol…or maybe my buns are the only ones that have chin fat…maybe i should get them a little bunny treadmill LOL
I havent used bird toys, but I think i wil try them now!
I don’t leave mine out when I leave my house, but They have free range as long as I’m home and throughout the night. It would be nice to be able to leave them out all the time. I hate putting them in there cage cause It feels like im trapping them :/ but even when they are out of there cage they still like to sleep in them..maybe its like home base lol

mine like their cage. It’s a nice 4 level condo I made. They sometimes go right back in when I let them out.

I’m glad b/c I hate caging animals and I don’t feel so bad.

My bun has chewed through a karaoke machine microphone. It wasn’t plugged in thankfully. It was my poor bun’s sensitive ears, she finally lost it and chomped through it. Ok, but seriously, I left it on the floor and forgot It was put there. I threw a stack of newspapers over it so Moxie could tunnel and rip it up. Well… It didn’t end well for the microphone…

I’ve had fuji for about a couple of months now and she has chewed my phone charger and almost my mac charger! In time though, my mac charger will stop working. =( She likes to chew on the carpets because I spilled coffee on it and she likes the smell/taste. I really need to clean that up lol. Oh yeah! she also ate the buttons off my school clicker remote for chemistry.

Islington has gone through two Macbook cords, more phone chargers than I can count, and literally any piece of paper left in the bottom 4 feet of the room. He even chewed the velvet covering off a pair of vintage Chanel pumps I adored.
My favorite incident, however, was a time when a friend brought over his Xbox for us to play together. I was using a corded controller and I saw Islington zip from one side of the room to the other. He didn’t slow down, didn’t pause, didn’t so much as turn his head, but suddenly an error message popped up on the TV instructing me to reconnect the controller. Sure enough, in one nip, he had bitten clean through the cord, completely severing it. I was this close to yelling at him when he bounded over to my feet, popped his ears up and cocked his head to the side… and my heart just melted.

Aw that pic is so cute! And either I’m lucky to have a bunny that’s not obsessed with chewing cords or I’ve conditioned him to be okay with them. But I think it’s a mix of both. Don’t get me wrong, he’s gone through a couple of cords (most recently my beloved headphones that survived two trips in the washer, but didn’t survive the Bunny attack of Nov’2014 *tears*). But for the most part I’m not that concerned about wires, I have quite a few cords he could get his paws on, but he doesn’t chew them.

Whenever he does something wrong, I’ll either give him a little bop on the head or pick him up and hold him in the air for a few seconds. And it’s very, very helpful. I also feel like we’ve become closer because of it.

Our communication is pretty good, and I recommend you try and figure out your bunny’s language. I’d never recommend for anyone to do the same disciplinary actions I use, because it may not be effective and it might make your bunny hate you. Try and create a closer bond between you two and that’ll lead to more effective rewards and punishments. Also have a deterrent, Nimmy LOVES Vitakraft Crunch Sticks, and pretty much anything of that nature. So try having some of those around, Nimmy is always on his best behavior after I buy him some.
