Hubby wants a bird when he gets home.  Neighbor was giving his little sweet parakeet away.  He gets headaches and this bird just won’t stop chattering. (no kidding)

Cotton approached the cage when I put it on the floor.

Tonite the bird started squawking.  Cotton started thumping.  I got up covered the bird and moved it to the bathrub for the nite.

This thing won’t shut up.  All day long chatter chatter chatter.  OMG  I can’t take a nap.

Hubby better come home soon.  This bird is driving us nuts.  Its nice n quiet now.  Finally.  Its been here a few days already.  I can’t bring it to hubbys place cuz no one is there and the bird would be lonely by itself.  She is really sweet and happy playing all day with her bell and toys.  she doens’t squawk til 10 pm.  Bedtime i take it.

Then tonite she started squawking at 6.  HELP  Can someone take this bird til hubby gets home.   I wish. In the meantime I will just have to deal with it.

Cotton was so relieved he binkied all over the living room after I put her in another room.   I thought he would like the company  but I guess he doesnt’ lol   I can give the bird back but I am saving it for hubby I guess.  The guy gets headaches so here we are

I’m trying to pick the bird in the photo from all the toy’s in the cage, lol!

I only owned budgie’s (2 and free roam) and they didn’t squawk, just sang and chattered – I loved it! Bird’s, especially free roam (but take care!) are the best pets ever! Actually, they are like bunnies! If you can’t own a dog or cat, they make the most wonderful loving companions. I highly recommend it!

Yes, just hang in there (sorry Cotton, ha ha ha!), but your hubby may come to enjoy and LOVE this bird like you do Cotton bunnytowne. Depending on the bird itself (just like bunny’s) and it’s age (?), he may be able to train it and have it free roam – wonderful for both of them. If this is something he wants to consider and/or wants, just remember to take care. Flying out the window, into thing’s and wall’s – wing clipping if necessary for safety, etc., flying into water and can’t get out (personal experience that I won’t share now). I also had a disabled lorikeet that I kept caged – he was too hurt and old to be free roam, so just offered him a comfortable happy life.

I’m a little excited bunnytowne, I love birds!

          PS – Sorry Cotton! Lol!

Her previous owner did let her fly around some and she would land on you.  IF you are eating she will bother you and want to eat with you.  lol.  I had a parakeet like that when I was younger.  This one here sounds sweet.

I am afraid to let her fly about as it will give Cotton a big fright.  I may try it after another week.

She sings n chatters all day long.  Playing with all her toys.  Yes there are a lot of toys n there.  She is a very happy little bird.

I just don’t want a 2nd pet to clean up after.  Hopefully Fouad will be home in December.

He is scared to come home. The stairs he isn’t ready for them. IF I had known that I wouldn’t have taken on the bird just yet.  I can return the bird to the neighbor but I will keep it.  For hubby.  He will truly enjoy that little bird I know.

The neighbor has headaches a few times a week and needs quiet.  The birds constant singing and chattering make his head worse so I am keeping it and won’t return it.

She is a delightful little thing.   I am so used to quiet.  Cotton is quiet.  We are used to quiet.  Takes a bit of getting used to.

My bunny Usagi doesn’t like the sound of birds outside. I wonder if its instinctual for them to not like the sound of birds chirping. When Usagi hears a bird chirp outside the window he often thumps and runs and hides. I am pretty positive he would not like us to have a bird.

I hope your hubby gets home soon and can care for the bird. I hope he likes him!

Birds are lovely, but sorry he/she is disturbing your quiet. Looks like a happy little birdy, I do hope your hubby enjoys her company.
I would love to have a bird. I don’t think I would have a problem with the noise, I have 4 noisy piggies already! Ha ha ha!

I showed hubby a picture of her today.  He likes her   He will be so happy with her.   I told him come home soon take her off my hands.  Cotton is thumping at her.  lol.  He laughed.  Wants me to let her fly   No way Cotton will run himself into the walls can’t have that.

I would like to let her fly.  Maybe in the bathroom.  In a few days.

If you let her fly in the bathroom, make sure you close the toilet seat lid, and there is no stored water anywhere. My mum lost her precious Pepi (budgie) that way and it was devastating. Not only did she lose her best friend and companion, the torment and guilt of how Pepi died almost destroyed her. And be careful when she is let out that she doesn’t get scared and fly into wall’s. Bird’s can kill themselves or get stunned by this. Sorry bunnytowne, I don’t want to be a downer, I just want you to know in case you don’t.
I know Stickerbunny doesn’t clip her birds wing, but I always clipped mine for this reason.
