        I’m so stoked in making a small garden for Chito! Planning to plant (in pots/trays) some dandelions, chamomile, sage, and wheatgrass. Anyhow, bit of confusion here because there are seeds for roman and german chamomile and i dont know which one is safe for bunnies ;3 Tips on growing plants for buns are appreciated! Thanks x

          I bought my bunny German chamomile and she doesn’t like it at all. None of my bunnies do. Most rabbits like dandelions and people can eat them as well.

            My dad has been growing wheat grass for Moshu since the last couple of months. Very easy plant to grow. Basil, Marigold and Thyme are pretty easy to grow. You can try those.

              Drwill, Yeah I figured I’m not going to grow camomile because Chito rejected the tea :”) or maybe I should try again…

              Avantika, Oh cool! I’m totally going to plant wheatgrass. Did you do it in a pot or tray, and did you keep it inside or bring it outside?

                (Ah, I just realized you’re the bunny parent who comes from a timothy-less nation like me xD )

                We plant as much as wheat grass as we can. 4 in pots and 1 in tray. Tray is more convenient. Wheat grass has very short roots so it doesnt need deep soil. We keep it outside. But I have read articles where they say they keep it inside a room. Just read a bit before you plant some.
                Even basil is pretty easily. Needs sort of deep soil so it needs to be planted in a pot. Requires sunshine.

                Try Lavender and Marigold.. she might not refuse these. Which reminds me, I have Lavender seeds and I still havent planted them.. -___-;;

                  Isn’t that fun growing things for bunny.  We had basil and Cotton loved it.  I bought 4 mint the previous ones got overwatered and died.

                  Cotton loves mint and basil.  He eats sage too.  I bought roses cuz he loves the rose petals.  I get to enjoy them then he eats them. going to have to grow some more basil come spring.

                  Chammomile Cotton won’t eat it either.  Not even the tea.  I read somewhere if bunny is stressed to give it some valerian root.  Person swears its safe.  Might want to further research that tho. Puts me to sleep.

                  Growing grains grasses for your bunny thats great.

                    Avantika (fellow Timmy-less parent sigh), Thanks for the wheatgrass insight! I will definitely plant some as I’ve heard it has to do with appetite and all? Hmm, marigold is a good idea… I heard Lavender’s pretty tall?

                    Bunnytowne, Seems like everyone is planting basil… I’m on it! Ah, rose! Yes, great. My mum likes the flowers too, so I guess it will be fine. Any colours? I’m interested in the black rose variety :3
