I’ve read several comments that bunnies will often push their tummies to the floor when they are having gas pains. What does this look like? How do you tell the difference between flopped out with feet straight back lounging or liking the feel of the cool floor and tummy to the floor because of gas?

When my bunnies do this, they are usually in a loaf position and they push their butt to the ground, usually followed by returning to a loaf. I suspect very much that if your bunny does this, you will know. It’s not something they usually do.

Is it a guick, maybe repeated, thing that you actually have to catch them doing? When you say they push their butt to the ground, is it like arching their backs a bit? Just trying to get the picture so that if I see it I’ll know what it is.

I’ve seen Moshi lay sprawled out with his feet straight behind him and lift his butt in the air a little and squeeze so I thought that might be what the tummy to the floor was referring to. When I’ve seen him do this, my first thoughts were “oh, odd stretch” and possibly “clear the room!”, but then kept hearing about the floor thing.
