I want to sew fleece pads to cover the floor of my bunnys’ cage. Would they like it more if I got bright colorful fleece or can they not even tell a difference between that and a boring solid color fleece? I also want to sew hidey houses for them with colorful fabric.

I deleted your other post because it’s the same as this. Anyway to answer your question, please read the link below:

Mine certainly do… They love their stacky cups and take great pleasure in ceratin colours… Orange and pink. If you mix up the cups when they are playing they will very pointedly selected the previously discarded colours and toss them to the side again. They may be guided by size or something else but it certainly looks like they are favouring one colour above another.

They may not see colours as we see them, but they can somehow distinguish between nuances of whatever colours they see. Dogs only have the blue and green cones so perhaps they see a red ball as some kind of blue but they can still see it from quite a distance (if it’s a fun, desirable ball).

How they “like” colours are of course difficult to say. They are probably more interested in scents. But YOU will probably enjoy your bunny space more if it’s in pretty colours =)

Roberta, I’d just love to watch your buns play with their stacky cups!

Judging by this article it is completely pointless to leave the hallway and bedroom light on for Pumpkin to find her way back to her room!!

I liked the article too. Are you going to stop worrying about night lights LLH? I’m wondering if I should.

I do have a nightlight in her room….seems kind of pointless now!
