So i’m just looking for some advice from those of you who have had rabbits for a while. I have a male rabbit (Gir) who is now 9.5 years old. We just moved into a new house and I am currently building him a large Bunny condo with cubes (5x3x3). Would it be worth it to bond him to another rabbit now or would it be too stressful for him? The condo should be big enough for two rabbits I assume, but given his age, should I just let him be for now? I don’t want to think about him passing away but it is inevitable, he is old now and not very active anymore either I just don’t want to stress him out, but I don’t know if bonding would actually be stressful for him or if it would make him happier? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Well first, definitely let him settle in for a while! Another bunny would be too stressful until he is feeling more comfortable.
What you could do for another rabbit is go to all the different shelters or pet stores (or breeders) and ask if there are any “matronly” bunnies there. These are rabbits will will gladly take care of any companion they are given. I think the main problem is if he did bond with another bunny, that other rabbit would be very distraught when he did pass away :/

Honestly I would not bond him. He is probably content by himself with your family and changing his routine by trying to bond him might just agitate him.
