Forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A should i get him fixed

        my rabbits pervious owners didn’t fix him and he won’t bond much with me will eating him fixed help will it do nothing or is he to old to be fixed (he’s 4)

        also if i do decide to get him fixed should i start potty training be4 or after

          If he is fixed or not probably won’t effect how he bonds with you, although neutered bunnies are usually calmer.
          It isn’t completely necessary to fix males (unlike females), so unless he is displaying unwanted hormonal behaviours it probably won’t make much of a difference.
          However, it is usually harder to litter-box train an intact rabbit, so it might be worth neutering him just for that.
          And as long as he is in good health otherwise, he is not nearly too old to be fixed.

              Litter training can and should be started regardless of whether or not he is fixed. Sometimes they take to the litter box right away, but even if he doesn’t, it’s good for him to have that available.

              What is your set up for him right now? Does he have a litter box?
