Minilops don’t need anything different from other rabbits.

            Welcome Ruby Rabbit!

Care should be the same for mini lops as with any other breeds. The only difference I can think of is that since their ears aren’t up, sometimes their hearing isn’t as alert and the inner ear needs to be checked from time to time because it’s harder for them to clean themselves there.

Here’s a diet FAQ link from the House Rabbit Society that gives a good breakdown of what and how much to feed at different ages and per X pounds of rabbit as the weight varies from rabbit to rabbit even in one breed: http://rabbit.org/faq-diet/

I have a mini lop also and he is about 5 lbs which my vet didn’t say was under or over weight

my first rabbit was a lop- that was around 10 plus years ago . if by buzzing around you mean she runs around really fast and jumps in the air – that means she is very happy, as does if she lays down with her feet out. I would go with about half cup of food a day, but if you have a vet defiantly go with their advice. but rabbits love cheerios – offer her some from your hand – it will feel funny and it great bonding.
