I wouldn’t….cars can get very hot and it is not recommended to leave any animal in the car ever.

The only way you could have any animal in car that long is if the car is running and the AC is going… and that presents so many other problems if you’re not in it. Is there any way you could just bring the bunnys carrier in with you, wherever you’re going?

Can you not take your rabbit home? That would be best.

Whatever the temperature is outside, I never personally feel good about leaving animals in cars; it’s along the same lines as leaving a child in a car and can get similar reactions from passers-by now a days. May I ask why the bunny cannot stay at home if you’re going to church?

If there is no place in the building where the bunny is allowed (maybe a side room or classroom where they won’t be a distraction?), I would make plans to either pick up the bunny after church or arrange for someone to bring the bunny to the house before church. There is also the option of not bringing the bunny to the sleep over at all, as they’d probably be fine in their own space for one night.
I apologize if that’s not much help, but I am still worried about leaving them unattended in a car for any period of time.

What about dropping your bunny off at the friend’s house before church?

You should never leave an animal in the car. Even on cooler days, heat can build up inside a car. Where I live, such would be considered animal abuse and neglect.

If it’s more than a few minutes, then I wouldn’t. I mean, I’ve left the rabbits in the car for a few minutes while checking out with the vet. It’s better than having dogs trying to stick their nose in the carrier. Even if it isn’t hot outside, I’d still be nervous about leaving them in the car unattended for 2 hours. That’s a long time.

I agree with everyone else, it would be better to make other arrangements.

The temperature inside a car increases dramatically. Even if it is cool outside. Honestly, i would strongly recommend you not to ever leave your pet in the car for any amount of time if possible. If you are planning on staying over, maybe its a better idea to bring the bunny another day? Or have the friend stay at your place since rabbits don’t do well traveling to begin with.

I’m with the others… It would be best to leave him at home or drop him at your friends place first. So many things can happen. Imagine if your car was stolen or broken into ?
