Well floppy doesnt seem to want to eat his pellets. Hes eating his hay fine and drinking water. No problems pooping ever. And he’ll eat his veggies if we bring the right kind, as it turns out hes a very picky eater. He wouldnt even try the yogurt treats we got for him! Anyway i was just wondering if i should be concerned? Id like to think hes just a little health nut but i want to make sure theres no cause for alarm.

It’s good he won’t eat the yoghurt drops, they are bad for bunnies. Most pet-shop treats for bunnies are really, really bad but the bunnies love them because they’re sweet and fat. Just like kids (and many adults) love crappy food that’s bad for them.

As long as he eats hay and poops and pees fine, I don’t think you need to worry. Hay is the best food for bunnies and at least 80% of their daily food intake should be hay. You can vary the hay, buy different brands and grasses. He seems like a clever little bunny! Most bunnies need to try a new veggie a few times before they “fall” for it.

Bramble goes through phases where he wont eat his pellets, then he has the cheek to act like he is starving when I give him his veg by running towards it and gulping it down at lightning speed! As long as he is still eating I don’t worry too much, I just find it strange that he will happily eat them for a few days, then go off them for a day or two then eat them again, its weird but I am pretty sure its not doing him any harm. When I notice he is off his pellets I just give him his daily veg in smaller portions because I do worry slightly about how quickly he wolfs down his veg otherwise.
