        Hello

I went to the pet shop and spoke to a employee who has had pet rabbits. My rabbit is 1 unspay but she listens well. I have learned when she is about to go to the bathroom on the floor to clap and say no she does listen. But I ask the rep is it still possible to little train, she said ” yes it’ll be a little difficult , it depends on your buns listening techniques and behaviour “. So that being said I want to try and litter train her. I was wondering if there was anyone here willing to stay in contact with me while I go through the process just in case I run into some trouble and give me advice.

        Please and thanks

btw my bun is a female mini rex 1 years old her name is Hope

I’m going to move this to the behavior section because that is for litter training.

Well the problem I see with this is that unless you can watch her 24/7 this may not be the best technique for litter training…

What have you tried so far and what is her litter box setup?

FWIW: I didn’t actually train mine at all…she picked a corner to do her business in and I just stuck the litterbox there.
She goes in the box by default I guess.

Maybe put a litterbox in her fav spot to do her doody?

Making sure that any bedding material is removed from everywhere but the litter box too. And yes, placing spots she already is using will help. Spaying will help as well (and is best for her long-term health).

if you are really really really interested in getting her litter trained, get her spayed first.

Spaying is going to help you litter train her much easier. Also, for her general health and well being, spaying is a must. If you can get her spayed do it first
