We keep our rabbit in the basement where there is not much light. Should we get her a small nightlight of some kind?

I would recommend to move her to a spot with a tiny bit of sun, Everyone needs a little vitamin D My rabbit’s cage is in front of a huge window, i open the curtains just so that about 1/4 of the cage has sunlight.

There is a window that allows light in that hits part of the cage. The issue is at night it’s almost completely dark

When I go to bed I turn the lights out for myself. The buns don’t seem to mind and don’t get active till the sun rises. If there is a window that allows sunlight there will be a certain amount of natural light at night too even if it is not sufficient for us humans to see by. I would not be too concerned if there is natural light during the day, the only reason for a night light would be your own safety if you had to go in there at night.

I agree with Roberta, As long as they have a little light in the daytime he/she will be fine they don’t get scared of the dark unlike some children!
