My little rabbit loves going under the couch (who could blame her) and it was never a problem until she decided that ripping up the underside of the couch is the most fun in the world. I just need some ideas to bunny proof the couch so she can’t get under there.

I’ve tried wedging cardboard to create a barricade (she ripped that out and had fun playing with the cardboard piece) I’ve put planks of wood to block the entrance but I can’t get all four sides to stay up when she tries to chew them. I can’t alter this couch as it belongs to the school and I could get a hefty fine for changing it.

        Any suggestions?

Have you tried to buy NIC grids (the cubes part of a c&c cage)? They’re pretty expensive from what I’ve seen but will be much cheaper then paying for new carpet to intsall.

We built a kind of cage out of chicken wire and wood so that they hold each other up and Henri can’t just push under the wire (it’s the type with really tiny holes so he can’t get stuck) and in some places we taped it to the bottom of the couch (behind the wire so he can’t eat it). I’ve heard rabbit can chew through chicken wire so I’m keeping an eye on it but so far so good!
