My bunny Jude has gotten to where he follows me around my room and tries to run out of my room every time I open the door. I was going to the bathroom and forgot something in my room so i stepped backwards and (barely) stepped on him. I’m positive that I freaked out more than he did. I jumped up and sat down and was like “oh my gosh i’m so sorry” and was cooing to him and petting him. I lifted all of his feet to make sure he was okay and he was looking at me like ‘what are you doing’ lol he’s been hopping around just fine and doesn’t seem hurt at all..It just really really scared and worried me. I just can’t believe that I stepped on him and he’s fine..I figured at least he would be scared of me because of it but he was hopping around and licking my hand right after it happened so..I guess he knows that it was an accident by the way I reacted.

Where did you step on him?

If he does’nt seem hurt, I wouldn’t be very worried. Just keep him calm and try not to do it again!

I step on Henry ALL the time! And I never think to apologise – it scares the life out of me! By the time ‘I’ recover, he seems to have forgotten about it, either laying back down or doing his own thing in another spot. You’d think I’d be used to it by now, the way Henry seems to be, but NO!
After all this time – why does he insist on laying in the doorway??? (this is where I trip or step on him) SIGH…..

But I must be a bad pet owner…. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have kicked my dog’s off the bed when Henry has woke me – I think I can feel where he is (after he has climbed all over me) and give a shove with my foot only to hear a thump and think, bugga – that was one of the dog’s, DOH!
Yet they still insist on sleeping with me??? LOL!

I am all too familiar with this as we always had cats in the house growing up. Luckily I’ve developed a reflex of shifting all weight back to the other foot once the offending foot comes in contact with something furry (sometimes resulting in a fall or stumble), so no squishings. lol.
Sounds like no harm done. I can just picture the perplexed bunny face.

I actually think that is what I did cottontail..I think that the second I touched his body with my foot I lifted off of him at once and this is why he wasn’t hurt although I could have swore that i squished him with my foot

I’ve tripped over Bun Bun so many times >.< he always follows my mom or me around begging for treats so when we're not looking and he appears it's just like BAM! Where'd you come from? He doesn't seem affected either and continues to beg for treats haha

I’ve never stepped on Nimmy (thankfully) but I’ve accidently kicked and tripped over him numerous times! He runs around my feet when I’m walking through my room and sometimes weaves between my feet like a figure 8 with every step I take. But I go through the same apology/guilt routine you do every time.

usually if he’s following me around it’s almost time for him to get his daily vegetables and it’s like him trying to rush me lol

I don’t know how many times I’ve kicked Leopold.
