He’s done this three times now in the last few hours. That is, I’ve looked over and seen him all loafed – you know, with his front feet curled under, ears back, eyes mostly closed – with one of his back feet stretched out in front of him. Just sleeping there like that.

It’s been his right foot once and his left foot twice.

Other than that he’s completely normal.

I should mention I was away for the weekend, but my roommate was feeding him and giving him the occasional pat, and I wouldn’t think loneliness would lead to sleeping on your back feet anyway.

This is probably paranoia, yes, but I thought it couldn’t hurt. It’s hilarious, besides.

He’s about 2 years old, neutered, has the run of my room, eats hay, litter is compressed recycled paper, and just the sweetest little mister you can imagine.

Sounds like he’s comfortable to me.

yeah, that sounds like he feels safe and comfortable. I’ll admit, i haven’t seen the front paw loaf plus back legs stretched out combo. I’ve seen both seperately but i don’t think there is any cause for concern

My bun sometimes does this, it’s like he gets halfway through washing his leg and falls asleep, but it was fairly rare. Just over a week ago he started doing it a lot, like multiple times a day and always with the same (left) foot, then a day later he started limping and turns out he had hurt it somehow. He was also a lot quieter than normal, but that had been a gradual change so I didn’t notice until he started feeling better and had a bit of a bunny personality explosion overnight. Now that he’s feeling better again he’s stopped doing it. He’s probably fine, but just something to watch out for since it’s a new behaviour after two years.
