Hello Every bun I’m just seeking help with my 8 yearold rabbit because I do not know what to do and have no guidance what so ever. So I brought my rabbit to the emergency vet 2 days ago because he hadn’t eaten, pooped, or moved around in the last 24 hours.Way before all this happened we had brang him to our regular vert about a week ago concerning his runny nose and just to see if he was healthy, my vet said he was fine and healthy. also to keep up with giving him lots of hay. she didnt want to prescribe any medicine since it was not nessacary and might make him worse. He was fine until 2 days ago.

Anyways at the emergency vet, she said his digestive system was quiet and thats not good because it always has to be moving. The emergency vet also noted his snuffles and discharge from his right eye. She doesn’t think theres complete blockage or something like that. So they gave him subcutaneous fluids and they sent me home with baytril, metoclopramide, lactulose syrup, buprenorphine, and ox bow. So at home we started with feeding him the ox bow first and gave him lots of water. Then we gave him all those meds and the next day he had soft poos and it said to stop giving him the lactulose syrup and metoclopramide if that happened. So I stopped giving those two. We fed him then gave him his other meds yesterday and he was hopping around a little but mostly sitting. Now today I fed him but didnt give him his meds because white smelly lumpy sticky stuff was coming from his butt and made his underside all wet so I cleaned him up but i don’t know what it is i called the emergency vet for questions but they were busy and hadnt called me back. PLEASE HELP, should I still keep giving him those meds? Thanks xx Im just so scared and confused I dont know what to do

Did any of the vets check for dental problems? This is a common reason for stasis especially in a rabbit this age.
