The other day I thought maybe I should try to cut his nails so I opened my door and left it open and went to the bathroom (he always follows me because he doesn’t like being alone) I let him run around the bathroom a few minutes then tried to pick him up. At first he was scared and shaking but I was petting him and could feel him get more and more still and calm and eventually he started making this weird kind of chittering/purring noise and I had heard that this happens when they’re completely content and happy. So he actually sat freely in my lap after a few minutes of petting him and didn’t want to jump down until I had been petting him for 10 entire minutes! Then he ran around my house all happy doing binkies and flops lol. I started him on vegetables yesterday as he just turned 12 weeks and I had to introduce veggies to him. (He loves Kale btw) but also recently he will sit up on his shelf/bed and beg for me to open his cage at night and when I do he will nip at me until I pet him and he loves to be loved on and rubbed all over lol he lets me pet him for what seems like FOREVER. I eventually have to be like NO I have to got to bed..no more loving tonight lol… so does this mean he completely trusts me? I know I spoil him but that’s besides the point lol

Awwww! Don’t you love this feeling of finally being accepted? I find every day I seem to get more bonded to Theodore.

One note about kale, just be aware that it has high calcium content, so I’d advise limiting it a little bit just to prevent complications.

Food is an excellent way to a rabbit’s heart! So, I would say you are doing wonderfully

now every time I’m in my room and walk around he follows me around and when I leave my room he tries to sneak out with me. It’s adorable…and I didn’t know that about kale..I’ve been only giving him maybe 1/2 a cup packed and now I’m starting him on romaine lettuce..is romaine lettuce okay to be fed more?
