Hi everyone I am new to this forum. Has anyone ever owned one of those pet strollers to take your bun and give them some fresh air? Its a closed top one so she couldnt hop out. But I was curious if anyone has ever done that, do they enjoy it?

It sounds like a cute idea but honestly I don’t think your rabbit would enjoy it at all. You might enjoy it, but bunny won’t.

It sounds both hilarious and adorable, but like Sarita said, bunny would probably be freaked out. I could see it maybe working with an exceptionally mellow, older rabbit, but I think most rabbits would find the idea of watching the world whiz past them with no agency in their movement to be terrifying.

While strollers are a better alternative than putting your bunny on a leash, I am going to have to agree with the previous posters that the bunny would probably freak out. If you want your bun to get fresh air, you can supervise them in an Xpen outside.

I thought the stroller was sooo cute and even wondered if there was one that you could attach a carrier or two to even if just for vet visits! Lugging a smallish carrier and a larger carrier for my three buns to go to the vet would be so much easier if I could attach them to a stroller life infant car seats!

I used a baby stroller to bond my rabbits in. With that being said I don’t think your rabbit would enjoy the pet stroller but it might be convenient to you for traveling with your bunny.

JR-I have actually taken mine to “bunny dating” in one which worked well. I have a stroller like you mentioned with the attachable/detachable carrier. It is definitely great for vet trips, etc, but probably not for your bunny’s pleasure. Ha ha ha!

Ahhh I see what you all are saying. But at the very least would make vet trips and travel much easier, instead of squeezing them in a tight little carrier that is constantly bouncing around. My buns are on the rather large side anyway :3

Like everyone said, I think it depends on the individual bunny and their personality. Bun Bun would totally enjoy it, he’s very calm and he loves exploring. He’s been on like two car trips (vets and to take him to his forever home aka me hehe) and he was so chill. He just ate hay and even flopped down. If you think your buns would enjoy it or “not freak out” go ahead but if you know your bunnies wouldn’t enjoy it then don’t buy it

I can honestly think of nothing more terrifying and dangerous to a bunny. He might not be able to hop out but what about all the dogs in the close proximity (depending on nose strength!) that decides bunny smells appetising and is naturally programmed to want to devour bunny!! I’m sorry, but no plastic cover is going to protect a little bun from a 20kg rottweiler.

I can think of plenty more dangerous scenarios than putting your rabbit in a stroller, but I agree with you on the terrifying part. My bunny would absolutely hate it.

And as long as you are with the hypothetical stroller at all times, I am certain no “20kg Rottweiler” will be able to reach your bunny. If one does, that would be your own fault for being an irresponsible rabbit owner. Besides, some dogs love rabbits (and not for eating.) My Chihuahua and Midas are best friends, but then again, Midas almost weighs more than her
