I just wanted to share some pics of Pillows’ new condo! I was originally gong to use NIC cubes to build one, but my dad insisted that he could make a condo for her with this wire cloth. It’s more labor intensive than a NIC cage, but I think the price comes out to about the same.

I’m a little new to the rabbit world, but in my research I would add ramps to each level. It would be easier for the rabbit to climb up and down.

I like the condo but I too would suggest some ramps. I got a cardboard play house called the cottontale cottage recently it has levels and even had some ramps and one of my rabbits hurt himself by falling on the ramp. I had to add some traction stuff to it. You can find already made ramps online maybe even in pet stores. Make sure it has something on it for traction.

It’s a beautiful condo!! But I also recommend getting ramps – maybe you can carpet them for traction? – and ones that are wide enough that they reach either side of the condo, so there’s no chance for falling.

I’m pretty new to rabbits, so why ramps? She’s able to jump to get around. I mean I was going to put ramps but I was worried it was going to get too crowded in there.

I would agree about ramps, but it doesn’t look like there’s room for ramps, I’m afraid they’d be too steep. Maybe the condo is wider in person than it looks in the pic?

                    so why ramps?

Rabbit’s bone structures are very delicate and if your rabbit would misplace his/her feet and landed wrong this could severely injure it. The ramps would make it easier to move about the different levels. Some people would even suggest not even having multiple levels for a rabbit.

The cage is 21″x34″ but a ramp might be steep. Each level is 12″ higher than the previous. I’ll figure out something. Thanks for the input.
