Hi everyone! I’m thinking about switching the buns bedding. They are currently on bathroom mats, towels, fleeces etc., but I am thinking about switching to something more natural like straw.

What bedding to you use, that I can buy for a fairly good price. Any opinions on straw?

I just use vinyl. It is easy to clean.

My lops prefer something harder so they sleep on fleece over the vinyl floor (tried dog beds with them but they felt those were there to chew up and they still preferred the floor). Kieko sleeps in three different spots – one is a piece of fleece over a hay mat, one is a small cat litterbox with purple Carefresh in it (she doesn’t pee or poop in this one), and her favorite is a furry dog bed that she grooms and has apparently also bonded with!

Vinyl is an awesome option, I happen to use laminate “hardwood” panels that I got for $15 at LumberLiquidators.com. Super easy to clean and looks really nice, too. On top of that I have a bunch of cotton towels. I also had a few cardboard flats down for a while, but took those out for a cleaner look. Theodore has a cardboard box to sleep in anyway.
