So today I installed some rubber flooring in Hazels cage in hopes it will protect the floor better. So she was out running around while I worked. She thought it was necessary to taunt Caesar and Roxie. It got roxie so upset, she started racing circles in her cage so hard it scooted the cage out of shape and half way across the floor. This was followed by LOUD thumping, which started Hazel thumping. Then Caesar added a couple of his own. I got Hazel situated then started fixing Roxie. Well, there was blood splattered all over their cage, the wall, on Caesar. Good Lord! So I got my husband and we gave her a look over. Apparently in her tantrum, she broke off two toe nails, one on front, one on back. I know they bleed terribly. But it had slowed down and she ate some raisins. Caesar kept licking her trying to comfort her. We haave had this happen before with other buns, but is there anything special we should do? She’s much calmer now and snuggled up with Caesar.

Sigh. Our house is a big soap opera – The Buns of Our Lives. Lol

          lol.

Poor buns! My rabbits tend to forget things fairly quickly. One time this happened…… So the bunnies pen is right next to a big glass door and wall, like right next to it. I added a second shelf to their pen, supported by two wooden dowels. I put some metal closet shelves and a big velvet mat on top of the dowels. the bunnies managed to ram themselves into one side causing the two wood dowels that held the shelf up to slip off the pen that supported them, and down went the bunnies with it! I was walking in right when it happened. Mocha was just standing there looking puzzled

I would just not pick her up/scare her at all. You want to make her try to forget about it, so act like it’s just a normal evening.
