        Hi,

I recently noticed my 9 month old bunny has a white cloudy mark on her pupile. You can see the attached photo, on the right side of the pupile.

I worried, What could this be?

        Thanks!

          Hi Tamar, and welcome!

For some reason I can’t see the image, so apologies for the broad answer, but his could be a few different things – if the spec is actually WHITE, this could be the beginning of cataract formation or it could be, hopefully not, but it could be a symptom/sign of E. Cunniculi.

If the spec is clear, it is likely just a stray hair in the eye and should go away after a few hours at most.

If the spec is white, I recommend going to the vet right away and having them test for EC.

            Welcome Tamar
I’m unable to see the picture also.

Definitely get this checked out by a good rabbit vet.
As already mentioned, it could be from EC parasite. Or a fatty deposit in the eye or if it has a smokey look, maybe an ulcer.

Yes-I don’t see an attachment. You can post a link to a photobucket picture to share, or sometimes just plain old copy and paste works-if all else fails, can you try to find a picture on another website that looks similar to your bunny and post that link?

Without seeing a picture, white spots on eyes don’t sound normal; and any change isn’t normal-so best thing to do is try to get to the vet for a checkup!
