Hi guys, I posted a couple of weeks ago about rescue rabbits that I have (and am keeping). I thought I would post an update for anyone that is interested/remembers my post. I have 2 young bunnies, they were 4 weeks yesterday and have been orphaned since they were 2 days old!! I did not breed these rabbits, they were brought into the vet clinic in a basket and I was the lucky one who was going to euthanize them…I decided to try to nurse them instead. It’s been a lot of work!!!!!! They are running around the room doing baby binkies as we speak. I called the lady that dropped them off for more info, and she told me they are Himalayan x double maned lion head. But she said the himi had long hair?! My bunnies are really fluffy, I can’t wait to see what they will look like. Their face hair is all crusty from the milk replacer I can’t get it off.

They’re probably going to be quite fluffy little bunnies! So glad to see they’re doing well.

So glad to see you back! A huge BB welcome!

I’m getting cute overload just hearing the words “baby bunny binkies”! When do we get to see the little fluff balls? Do they have names?

The crusty milk replacer faces reminded me of a LOLCats pic that I saw of a kitten with cream on its face — the caption was “I eated a butter!”.

Yes, I need names and a picture (I won’t be happy if your bun’s are cuter than mine??? LOL!).
Welcome to BB! and good on you for caring for these wonderful little guys – your truly a legend. Cheers Bucktooth.

AH, we know there’s no cuter bunny in the world than our Henry! But, fluffy baby binkying bunnies would definitely be a close second!

That’s what I’m worried about JR…. Can Henry compete with ‘baby bunny binkies’??? Mmmmm……..

                    LOL!

Bunnies can be alot of work, and I imagine even more so while you’re having to do the milk replacer. I promise you that, like the rest of us, you will have “what was I thinking?!” moments, but you will (and I can tell you already have!) also have moments where you love them so much that you can’t imagine not having them. In human/dog relationships, the dog lives to please the human and to receive the love it works so hard for.. . In human/bunny relationships, the roles somehow get reversed!

You are doing a great job with your babies. Looks like you can officially consider yourself a bunny slave!

Great to hear theyre doing so well. Well done!

Long haired himmi- that’s sounds cute. Maybe he’s one of the fur breeds but with Himalayan markings and the ruby eyes?

Very well done! It’s not an easy task to nurse babies from that young age!

They may change their coat as they mature, the way many puppies do, long-haired breeds all have short hair as puppies.

Looking forward to pics of these probably devastatingly lovely little individuals!

Babies seem to always have messy faces! Hehe, your description reminded me of a picture that someone posted on a different forum.

                                    Not my picture.

That’s how my kids looked as babies after I fed them. Did I do it wrong???

                                        LOL!!!
