        Hi all,
I am hoping to get some advice about what I should do as far as bonding my bunnies. I have a female holland lop that is 7 months and spayed and a male holland lop that is not fixed. I brought the boy (Darwin) home on labor day and it became pretty obvious he had an upper respiratory infection ….I just decided to bring him to the vet and deal with it myself. Anyways he has been on antibiotics for about 9 days now and tomorrow is his last day. I was holding off on introducing the two until he got better but I have also become concerned because 1. She (Doc) is like 2-3X his size and I’m afraid if a fight occurred she could injure him pretty badly and 2. Should I wait until he has been neutered? Also she is pretty well litter box trained so I have given her free roam but now have been putting her in a cage out of reach during Darwins play time but I have been keeping them in the same area in the hopes that they would get used to each others scent. Should I continue keeping them in the same area and maybe begin with switching their cages and having them able to see one another or should I just leave all of that bonding process until later? Long question I know I’ve just been researching like crazy and figured I should just stop trying to weed out information and ask people that have more experience. Thank you so much for any help!

I hope he is getting better. It is definitely better to wait until he is neutered to start introductions. Keeping them in the same area is fine once Darwin’s infection is cleared up.
